Hey All,

I am trying to find this info on Bell.ca but can't find it. I want to subscribe to both TMN and Super channel, does anyone know what the cost is if I already have TMN with my package and just want to add Super channel? Thanks!

you can play around with different packages, channels online at Bell and it will show you what it will cost. I beleive it gets cheaper depending how many "themes" you sub to.

I know Bell used to have a page like this where you could play around with packages and it would tell you the cost but I can't find it anymore. Any ideas?

taken from channel manager on bell's website

Movies east = $16.00
add super channel to the pack for another $13.00

EDIT:

played around a little and it looks like you can just get the super channel's on there own for $13.00 and they give you the option to add the two MPIX channels for just $3.00. so this may be an option to save some bucks

Hey Mick,

Thanks, but I have been looking at the Bell website, and can't find the channel manager. There used to be a part on the site where you can play around with the channels and see what the monthly costs are. I guess they took this part off the newly designed website. They need to look at the Starchoice website, it is user friendly and fantastic to get information and pricing.

yea i had a hard time finding it myself. what you do is log into the website and go to the "my bell" page and once there look under the "programming info" section and click on the "order programming & more" link. once there it will tell you what it does and click on the orange arrow and will take you to your programming options

I am going to subscribe to Superchannel. I am only interested in the 2 high-definition channels, and will probably map the rest out, but I assume I will have to get the standard-definition ones as well?

I went to the Bell web-site, and got frustrated trying to find the cost. I am currently subscribing to just the Digital Standard & the HD Value Pack. Will I have to phone them to get a quote?

Premium Movies (TMN) is $19/month with 6 or fewer digital themes, with 7 or more it is $16/month.

Superchanels is $16/month with 5 or fewer digital themes, with 6 or more it is $13/month. You can do the M-Pix add-on forf $3/month more.

Thanks. I am in the west. If I get SC, is there a substitute for M-Pix that I can get for $3 more per month?

Yes, Movie Central is the equivalent of TMN and Encore Avenue is the equivalent of M-Pix.

Unfortunately it doesn't look like Encore Avenue comes in HD (like M-Pix does), so those of us in the west are out of luck. I will probably just get SC for $16 for the 2 HD channels.

So I logged into My Bell with the intention of just adding Superchannel, and keeping everything else identical.

But if I do that, my HD Value Pack becomes something called HDTV, which subdivides into HD Channels, Latest HD Channels, and Raptor. I have no idea what this means, and I don't feel like going through the full listings to find out what will change especially since nowhere does it tell me what HD Value Pack consists of. So I ended up not bothering. Bell should just keep things simple.

[Edit] After I signed up for My Bell, I got an EMail saying that they will sent me an EMail reminder when my monthly invoice is ready. Does this mean they will no longer sent me a paper bill?

Call Bell programming and talk to a real person. Tell them that you are interested in trying out the SuperChannels - they will probably give you at LEAST 3 months at half price... they will add it themselves and you won't lose any other deals/packages that the web may destroy.

I NEVER use the website to change my programming - I always call them.

Yea, it's definately possible to add Superchannels w/o changing your HD theme pack.

There's not currently any promo to give out Super Channels at half price for AT LEAST 3 months. There was a 50% off for two months promo, if you qualify. You probably do, but call and see if it's still available. With the programming you have, you will get it for $16.

You can keep your old HD Value Pack, but if you change, you've lost it forever. I'd recommend to keep it as is for now, unless you are missing the most recent HD channels - you can't get them in your old package.

You can get 4 HD Theme packs for the same price - $10, but you should stay where you are for the moment, and review the programming change first.

The new theme packs will give you TLC HD and Showcase HD. There's not much else of interest that's currently not in the HD Value Pack. The other catch is that without any SD sports packages, you can only get 3 HD theme packs and HD themes will end up costing $15.
