When I canceled my phones through them, I was dinged with a $225 etf per line, and the remainder of my service plan.
I had 12 months left, so I ended up with a grand total of $780, on top of them taking off all the "free" time I had. Meaning I was supposed to have been able to call home, my husbands cell and one other for nothing, and they went ahead and charged me every minute.
By the end of it, for their own f up, I apparently owed them over 7 grand.
Bell will take you for everything, cancel your account if you are even a week late waiting for them to deal with a problem.
Take a good look over your contract before you decide to cancel, and really look over it before you sign anything.
I had to claim bankruptcy because of them, and it sucked. They are having issues with hackers getting into their customers voicemail, and making calls. Ending up in long time customers getting $40,000 phone bills that they won't reduce.
Bad company.
