Hello
I just got a cortisol injection for a really inflamed cyst on my face (pretty much where your cheek meets your nose)
I was wondering what I should except in terms of results. I've read that in 1 day cysts have gone flat but the doctor said at least 3-4 days? Will the redness and swolleness be reduced by tomorrow?
My hopes are high on results so let me know!
Thanks in advance,
R

For those viewing this, an update
Ok, I had the shot at 2:30 yesterday afternoon and by bedtime the pain had almost completely gone away. This morning the inflamation is gone by at least 60 %. There is still a hard pimple, still a bit big but no where near as inflammed and red as yesterday.
I'm hoping that by Monday this is almost gone or at least smaller.
Again, anyone ever had a shot and how long did it take to go flat?

Ok...just me writing again...
The improvement continues. By this morning, not yet a full 48 hrs, my monster zit/cycst is "almost" flat, definately still raised but better than yesterday.
Also, this morning there was a thin layer of dry skin already half flacked off. So I gently lifted it off and a small pus bead appeared. I gently dabbbed it off and washed my face. I then streched my face to get a better look and more pus came out! I swear I never used my hanRAB on my face! anyway washed it again and put a dab of BP on it.
There will be a mark/discoloration from the inflammation I'm sure. Hopefully it will fade quickly.

Still just me, eh?
Ok, it's been 48 hrs since my cortisol injection. After my shower this morning a bit more puss came out. I again rolled a Q-Tip over it until the puss stopped and then so did I. I put some BP on and slapped a small bandaide over it to protect from bacteria.
This afternoon I washed my face again, no more puss. Put some more BP on it.
Still raised but not nearly as much as before. Gonna be a nasty red mark for awhile though!
The Dr said the cortisol will do it's job for about a month....good thing.
Again....any comments????

I'm getting lonely over here people! LOL

Ok, so things continue to get better, smaller...of course now I'm impatient for it to COMPLETELY go away. Still a raised bump and discoloration. And the skin around it is dry, even where I don't apply the medication (Clindoxly gel).
I hope what the Dr. said is true, the injection would continue to work for up to a month.
Chime in people! Tell me your experiences with a cortisone injection!!

5 days after injection:
Keeps getting smaller as well as the discoloration....slowly but surely:)

And yet no one bothers to chime in....what's with this group?
