correct method of removing tongue and groove flooring?

A question on my worksheet is "You are rewiring an existing building what is the correct method of lifting the floorboards on a modern house?" i know modern houses have tongue-and-grooves floorboards but how do i explain how to do it step by step and what tools would i need to do it?
 
Some baords can be lifted with by using a bolster chisel to widen the gap and crowbar to lift. Others you have set a saw to cut the exact depth of the board and cut off the tongue to lift it - chisel a gap to run the saw down first
