Coroner

Poetry is
a lifeless corpse now
that I defile
without regret
it's innocence
is whole again

Poetry is
a cadaver
that does not object
as I explore
my own depravity
but not at it's expense

Poetry is
a carcass
stiff yet forced
to comply
and my imagination
is set to fire

Poetry is
dead
completely
and in full
but still
it looks gorgeous
to me
my morbid curiosity
