Cooling Issues 2000 Jeep Cherokee?

I'm at a loss for ideas... My engine keeps over heating, I just replaced the water pump and thermostat yesterday, and gave the radiator system a flush...

There are no leaks or steam coming from anywhere that I can see. The radiator is not damaged and the system has all new fluids...

It stayed normal while driving last night and had no issue until a little while ago where the gauge went to 260 F... the heater core is my next big guess, I was wondering if anyone had a better idea where to look for the problem...
Both fans (belt driven and electric) are working correctly and rotate in the proper direction. The integrity of the engine block is intact and there are no intermingled fluids between oil and coolant...
