Cooler sounding voice: Freddie Mercury or Robert Plant?

I heard "Bohemian Rhapsody" on the way home last night and it made me think about this question. I used to think Robert Plant was second to nobody. Now, im not so sure. What do you think? Thanks! ROCK ON!
Thumbs down are not from me. I never asked about Freddie Mercury's sexual orientation. Just about his voice. Leave the homosexual comments at the door.
 
Freddie is the better singer hands down. Plant is good, but just not close vocally to Freddie Mercury.

That being said, Robert Plant's voice is so unique and different, that it makes this a tougher decision. When a Led Zeppelin song comes on, you know it is them just by hearing Plant.

Final decision: Freddie Mercury.
 
plant is more unique, like the effects on whole lotta love for example. he can do so many strange and wonderful things with his voice. but mercury has a fuller voice, with a HUGE range. vocally, mercury did get more exposure, queen was quite obviously a vocally led band, led zep being rather united in their effect.

Actually, despite being a huge Led Zeppelin fan, I actually like Mercury's voice better. But Plant voice is also VERY good off course..

But I never really listen to Mercury's, since I don't like Queen ;-)

Edit: If you mean COOLER sounding voice, and not BEST voice, I change my mind, since I think Plant has the coolest voice...
 
I was a Queen fan always .I knew people who didn't mind the odd song but I was the only one I knew who actually had purchased anything. Then Freddy gets AIDS and with Wayne's World ( Mike Myers really sucks) , now I turn off Bohemian Rhapsody when it comes on.I have a box set that has never been played. Plant by default.

robert plant has the "cooler" voice
but freddy has the better and beautifuler voice lol
