first, if its okay with him, then leave it alone and don't be so hard on yourself, it has happened to all of us . Second NEVER try to mix and stir up the bottom of a scorched soup, stew or chili. Once the spoon touches it and you feel sticking in a heavy way, stir over the scorch.
Next time, with something heavy and thick like this, reheat on low in a small pan with only 1 or 2 servings, or reheat in the microwave

overcooked it, any help? The bottom of the pot burned, and the rest had chunks of overcooked potatoes, It was sooooooooooooo good, I had a bowl for lunch. This kindda suxs! Well I am simming a few extra potatoes in it and doing my best to take a strainer spoon and strain the brown potatos out. It tastes fine to my boyfriend and he seems not to care, but I really would have liked him to taste that gread soup I made! I know I could make it again, but I live with other people and I rarely get to cook cause I never am home alone and they make me nervous with the mess.
