Cooking question, can you help?

Ok so id please like to know the difference between types of dough,Basically i know how to make a dough (flour, salt, butter and egg to mix) i think!! I use the above with sugar for making biscuits but i want to make pizza dough and maybe some for bread. Can you help please? Hope i make sense. Thanks in advance
