I'm having surgery, so I need to get meals ready. My husband works all day, and my mother-in-law will be here helping with the kids. I need some meals that I can cook ahead, and freeze so he just has to thaw them out. How do I keep them from freezer burn, and how will he thaw them out? Please help.... any ideas for meals?

Invest in Ziploc freezer bags of all sizes. You can freeze lasagna and any type of meat sauce for spaghetti. I would even purchase one of the Stouffers family size frozen meals; that come in meat loaf, lasagna, stuffed peppers and swedish meatballs. Get a bag of frozen french fries, you can bake small chicken parts and put them in the freezer. Make a beef stew and freeze. You can freeze just about anything, use your imagination.

I'd also suggest you purchase Success rice in a bag and Kraft Easy Mac and Cheese. Easy side dishes in minutes; stove top or in the microwave.
