i cook a roast chicken nearly every sunday and thank god it always turns out lovely. but i was in shop yesterday and they only had small chickens, well i have 8 to feed on sundays thats adults, so i bought 2 small chickens, when i weight them they where 4lb each not bad for two small chickens.
i normally put mine just under middle of oven, in oven dish at 180 c fan oven, i would normally time my chicken by doing 20 mins per lb and 20 mins over. but with to small chickens what should i do?? that would work out 20 mins per lb 8lb in total =160 mins and 20 mins over = 180 mins thats 3 hours for 2 chickens does that not sund too long, never cooked two cickens beofre just the one, i have them in oven now but for how long do you think? if i was going by one that would be 4x20=80 +20=100 that is = 1 hour and 40 mins, but i am cooking 2 chikens how much more time should i add????
