Cookie Jar TV needs to CHANGE or DIE!

I am worried about the fate of CBS' Saturday-morning line-up, as the 2009-2010 season was the worst season of the CBS/DIC/Cookie Jar deal since the first season of this slate in 2006-2007!

There are plenty of reasons to hate this block:
*Their insistance to 'Plaster the Gaps in the wall', first with three showings of Busytown Mysteries, and later with two showings of Sabrina!
*Them breaking pre-season promises, like not giving us the new live-action show this year like they promised!
*The only good show on the line-up being Noonbory!

I have some good ideas to shake-up the line-up:
Get rid of Sabrina: The Animated Series and Strawberry Shortcake as PERMANENTLY as possible (like move them to one of the other Cookie Jar blocks!)
Position Noonbory as the main focus of the line-up!
Add a live-action show, ANY live-action show!
And make sure that each half-hour of the block is filled by a different show!

That is the way it goes. They have to literally CHANGE or DIE!

Jeremy Aron Patterson.

I don't watch Cookie Jar TV, but I think that making death threats is going way overboard. And why are you sharing your full name? Didn't anyone teach you internet safety?

They need to make the block more diverse, and dig deeper into the DIC library. What about adding the Real Ghostbusters (For action), Hammerman (For so bad it's hilarious humor) and ALF TAS?

Cookie Jar Toons has to be 3 hours of e/i programming. The shows you mention don't qualify for the e/i rating.

Yes, Magi-Nation is possible. It was one of the shows CW used for e/i and could easily air on Cookie Jar toons to fulfill that requirement. '

You have to remember though that Cookie Jar also supplies e/i programming for another network (This TV). So far they have avoided placing the same shows on both networks. You also have them trying to upgrade the number of products available in national households outside of e/i programming, which is one of the reasons CN got MetaJets (though they appear to only be broadcasting it once. Hopefully MetaJets will get a good home next to Spider Riders on This).

I don't think that Busytown Mysteries is that bad. Sure, it's not the best show I've seen, but it's better than most E/I shows.

The only problem I have is that when the mystery starts, they have the pigs and the hippo and they might not be part of the mystery. When it ends, they don't have the hippo, plus they still have the pigs.

Also, the town acts as though Huckle's the only person that can solve a mystery. The second songs says, "You could solve one too!"

So the rest of the town, get off your butt, and help Huckle! :p

Busytown Mysteries is okay. It's sure ain't The Busy World of Richard Scarry, but it's okay to see a few times

The Real Ghostbusters are Sony (they made the movie), Hammerman is in limbo, and ALF is owned by someone else.

I would really be grateful if they aired the CLYDE reruns on that network so I can finally see that interesting series.

And Magi-Nation does have educational, scientific, and historical facts in their episodes. I would love to see some new Magi-Nation.

Why? You're obviously not the target demographic for the block (otherwise, you couldn't post here). That's the problem with blocks owned by a single entity. They get lazy and rot themselves into irrelevance. They have to deal with the e/i mandate, meaning everything's going to be educational-oriented, either through actual lessons or moral life lessons.

There is a better Cookie Jar block out there on a channel called ThisTV. I don't have it myself, but I've heard good things about it. They're not handcuffed by the e/i mandate as the Saturday morning block is.

Well, Strawberry Shortcake is going to be found on a brand new network in the fall.

I think you've heard of it.

I think they're doing that.

Well, there is a cartoon based on a live-action show on the block, Doodlebops.

That would be nice. But this block is not for me. Kids like things that repeat (otherwise, Nick wouldn't be number one, lazy buggers). But a short-run show doesn't need to be repeated so heavily. That whole break-up due to The Early Show Saturday is moronic too.

The This TV block was better than the current CBS SatAM block.

I have heard of The Hub.

There has to be some changes in Cookie Jar TV this fall!

Jeremy.

I think This TV does have a better line-up overall.

Spider Riders is very good and I think Liberty's Kids, although very confusing if not in order, is good too.

I think maybe we need to cool down and stop getting so worked up over a programming block for little girls. It's not supposed to suit your tastes. Unless your suggestions will make it the best programming block for little girls possible and probably involve fairy princesses, unicorns and rainbows, CBS doesn't care.

I hope when CJTV makes changes, they keep Noonbory

I like that CGI show and Cubix (Toozai, why diffent story) way better than Tak and The Power of Juju.

CJTV should also try airing Super Duper Sumos (Desives to be back on tv) and The Wacky World of Tex Avery (Jaroo is missing episodes of WWOTA).

When dream casting for Cookie Jar TV's schedule, we should keep in mind that, a) the block is E/I mandated, and b) it's aimed primarily at young girls. That hasn't changed since the CBS block was called Secret Slumber Party.

Therefore, there's no reason why CJTV "should" acquire any show that doesn't meet at least 1 of these requirements. Let's not confuse our wants with the network's needs.

Super Duper Sumos was never that popular, and it was just full of fat jokes. It had its run on TV, and even the almighty and powerful Nickelodeon couldn't make it work. As for The Wacky World of Tex Avery, it disrespects the name and legacy of one of the best animation directors ever born, Tex Avery, the man who created the definitive first Bugs Bunny cartoon (A Wild Hare) and went against normal conventions by bringing insanity and a little bawdiness in cartoons at MGM.

He was short of genius, man. He made cartoons like no one can, um, could.

Also, the CBS block is e/i only. Laziness because CBS didn't want to do their own block.
