BG: I'm going into 7th grade. My parents' have unlimited text, 700 minutes a month, they share their plan (so it's about 350 for my mom, 350 for my dad).. I just turned 12 in May. My friends currently think that my phone is my moms' and I text all of my friends on it, etc.. Like all my friends have cell phones! I go to a private school, but still, like 3 out of my 5 kids have cell phones! I complain about it all the time and my dad says that I can have a cell phone when I'm 14. I can get one earlier if I am respectful and get good grades.
How do I convince them faster? My mom basically doesn't care but my dad is pretty set. Although, I probably can move him if I tried, but that's the point, I don't know how to! Pleasee help me!
Also, I have about $100 that I got from my birthday. We're going to NYC in August if that helps at all. Just me and my mom...
