Converting FLV and AVI files?

I need to convert some FLV files to MP3 or another compatible file, and some AVI files to WMV or another compatible file. The only video viewing program I have is Media Player. The longest AVI is 31:30 and the longest AVI is 51:00, and I am only interested in converting the files if I can convert the entire things, not just samples. Thanks in advance
