converting dvd's (IOF) into mp4's ????

is there a way to convert dvd's into mp4's so i can put it onto my ipod??
i have an IOF file of the movie i want but when i try to import it into iTunes it dosent work!
HELP
 
you can convert it using the total video converter.
you can find such softwares for in the google search itself..
