I have a 09 Specialized Hardrock Sport with v-brakes. I was thinking about taking for a trip from Kansas to Mississippi. Is there a way to convert my bike into a touring bike that can handle having panniers and extra weight on it? Or is this just a bad idea and i should just break down and buy an actual touring bike?
