So last December I finally got my 3 that I've wanted forever and of course the salesman convinced me to get automatic, which is NOT what I wanted! I now regret it, but it is my second car so I am not planning on selling it and buying a new one in stick anytime soon. I figured I would have this car for awhile so I might as well enjoy it like I would with a stick shift. I am thinking of pretty much converting the whole inside of the car to a Mazda speed 3, with the i exterior. That way I will have the stick shift I want, the speed I want, and can pull off many mods such as interior upholstery, exhaust, intake, hood, and all that fun stuff. I am a young girl so I know a good amount on cars, but not a whole lot. It would take me a little over a year to afford what I want to do which I would round out to around 15k which is rediculous, but would be everything I want. Any suggestions?

Well, you bought a $16K-18K car & you want to spend another $15K on it to make it into a MS3. Well, lets thunk about it. An MS3 can be had for $24K new. Don't bother. Mazda will make the MS3 another year & at the end of 09, there will be plenty of them around still on close outs. Patience. Just get one new that way you'll have warranty. You do anything to the current car you have & it's value will dump no matter what you convert it to.
