Convert car seats from computer-controlled to simple electric?

I am making a custom hot rod and got nice seats from a modern BMW. However, the BMW seats are controlled by a complicated computer system with data cables. Can I cut the computers off and just hook the motors up to simple 12 volt and ground wires with simple toggle switches to control them?

Or is this going to create a new problem that I am not anticipating?
