i fell out of our rv on july 28th, landing full face down in the dirt, snapping my neck backward. i had massive bruises on my right shoulder, left hip and tailbone.

i went to my gp and he xrayed my lower back and found nothing, but he did not x-ray my neck. it didn't really hurt at the time but now weeks later, the pain is getting very very bad.

i cannot turn my neck sideways, front or back. the muscles in the right side hurt into my shoulder and between my shoulder blades. i am having very bad headaches, dizziness, and blurry vision.

also i am having pain under my right rib where the liver area is. he did not look at this.

i told him about the breathing problems through my nose, it clicks and snaps when i breathe and is constantly stopped up. my ears are ringing all the time. i asked about this and he just said sinus and gave me nothing.

i'm ok in the morning for awhile but then the pain starts and the rest of the day is terrible.

i've read about whiplash but my symptoms started several weeks later, not immediately.

i am concerned that i could have cranial or cervical damage.

can anybody please help me? he gave me flexeril for muscle spasms adn that's all and told me to live with it.

at the very least here you do need to obtain an MRI on the brain and the c spine, and that is the very LEAST at this point. if nothing was even checked out with at least an initial CT after you suffered that level of trauma, espescially to that neck area, it just NEERAB some looking into asap. you just DO need to know what could have become injured with the forces involved with that mechanism of the injury. once you find out whats possibly injured up there from the MRI,that will kind of dictate your next step. but you really should have had this done before post injury with that type of accident. i really am shocked that your own doc does not see this as a real need given what took place. maybe you should also find a new doc? honestly,he appears pretty lazy if he does not even check out and palpate a possible area that could have been injured within your abdominal area. you may be better off just showing up at your local ER and having THEM just do the full physical eval AND obtaining the needed MRIs too. your areas where you are having pain just DO need to be evaluated fully. i wouldn't think your liver actually lacerated or anything at this point, only becasue you WOULD have known by now if this were actually bleeding internally. but it still neeRAB a medical palpation just to make certain you don't have something else that could be impacting that area or just radiating pain 'to' it?

the shoulders too(or the rotator cuff) could have easily had some level of damage as well just from what you described here? you just NEED a much better fuller eval of what could possibly have been injured right now. if i were you and my primary just was not doing his job for me i would simply go to the nearest ER and let them know what you are experiencing and that nothing was actually even evaluated post accident either(and tell them about your stupid doc)? THEN i would start looking for a much better more caring primary doc. but do get this all looked into soon. good luck, and i hope there is nothiong major going on. please let me know what you find out. marcia
