Okay, please don't attack me! I would never do anything to put my baby in harms way, this is more out of curiosity: I play women's rugby, and it can be pretty brutal. Obviously I know I will have to stop almost immediately once I become pregnant, but is there any window of time during VERY EARLY pregnancy when impact to the abdomen would not be detrimental to the embryo, and the mother could continue to play a contact sport? Or is it possible that it could be harmed from the moment it implants?
This is really more out of curiosity. I know if there WAS any window of time it would be very very small and I probably would just quit playing immediately once I found out I was pregnant anyway, but I wanted to know.
