Can anyone tell me, is there a way to leave a chosen address in view - so that when the Palm is turned off (either manually or automaticaly) you can go straight back to it?

Yea, when you turn the Palm back on, use the power button to go back to where you were. If you use a hard button at the bottom, eg. Address Book, it will take you to your default category.
 
Hi,

Thanks for your replys. My T3 isn't working like yours. If I'm looking at an address, then turn the T3 off using the power key and then turn it back on (again using the power key) I go back to the address book NOT the address I was viewing!

Is there something in preferences I'm missing?

You can do the following from inside of the Contacts app:

1. menu -->Options-->Preferences
2. Tick the box next to "Remember Last Category".
3. Tap OK button.
