constipation

ok, this is an erabarrassing topic, and i thought it was related to the meRAB i was taking but now i'm really only taking naproxen sodium as needed, really only at night and robaxin 2x a day. i'm very constipated and i am vegetarian, i eat LOTS of fiber. i never have this issue. i do have lots of nerve pain in my hips/legs and last night was especially bad. i won't know for sure exactly what the disc issue is until i see my mri results tomorrow, but i'm wondering what this indicates. i know my spondy is at l5 s1 and this pain is in the same spot. i had never had the constipation before. does this mean this is worse this time? i have to think that the impact at which my car was rear ended has something to do with it (40-45mph).

I was never constipated either until I had bulging discs at L4 L5. It is a constant battle now. The nerves in that area are very close that control bowel function. Mine seem to have been weakened. They are improving though. Make sure your dr. knows about it.
