Considering a 2007 Hummer 3X. Do you have one? What do you advise?

They have it priced at 26,900. Has 20,000 miles on it. No scratches or dents, no interior damage. Actually looks like new. Desert Orange color. My son who is a new driver like it too. What gas mileage can I expect and is this a safe vehicle like it seems? Anything I need to know or check before I buy it? I really like SUV's vs small cars because they seem so much safer. What do you think?
 
They seem safer, but are not. Its basically a mid size GM truck with a boxy sheet metal. You get an underpowered thirsty 5 cylinder engine. Crude leaf spring rear suspension. No stability control, no side airbags. Take a look at something more rational like the new Subaru Forester, Honda CRV, etc. you will get better engineering, higher mileage and better resale value.
 
sounds good, if you are in canada, I just got a 2008 with 23000km for $24995.95! nice toy!
 
about 8 miles per gallon really a great truck if one is going to war or offroad race... but to drive a round town only fools would buy one really will cost you a couple hundred a week to drive it a lone
