If you are not comfortable with things as they are, do you support single-payer health care and massive education reform? If you do not support drastic reform of either deficient program, why not?
Sub-standard education is a result of the power of the teacher's unions. Successful educational systems are found throughout the world and vouchers are the common thread. Parents get to choose the school they want. The teachers' unions are adamantly opposed to vouchers, so it's no wonder Dick and Jane cant' read their respective diplomas.
