Connecting vcr to tv?

i have a dvd/vcr combination, and i have gotten the dvd to work fine, but gotten only the audio to work for the vcr. it says to use the line out and i did for the red and white, but there is no place to connect the yellow plug on my tv. i have a mitsubishi tv, if that helps...
 
I had a Magnavox DVD+VCR combination, and I had the same problem. I found out that it was the S-Video connection. If you are using an S-Video cable, remove it, and you should get video for the VCR.
 
Basically, you're looking for another video input (yellow) on your tv...and if you don't have one you'll have to split the only one you have with a "Y" connector.
