I need some help connecting the protestant ethic (by Max Weber) to the following question:

Its for an essay (compare and contrast essay), and we have to use the protestant ethic as a direct source to answer the question. I know it will deal with the first half of the question (the effort part), but I just need some help coming up with ways I can use the piece of writing into my essay in response to this question. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
