Since you didn't state which Sony CyberShot model you have or the model of the Panasonic TV you have, there can only be guesses made to answer your question.

If your camera only came with a mini-to-standard USB cable and your TV doesn't have a USB port, then obviously it cannot be connected to your TV set (although some TV are being sold with USB ports now days). Some TV's have memory card slots to view video and images. Some Sony CyberShot cameras have a HDMI port and many newer TVs have HDMI ports too which is ideal for viewing what is in the camera on the TV.

there`s no matching sockets on the tv compatable with camera leads, tried connecting usb lead to dvd but no usb port on dvd
To add more detail - my T.V. is a panasonic viera 50 700 series and the sony camera is a cybershot DSC T77 with partial slide down front, there is a card slot at the front of the T.V. but the card in the camera is too small for the slot - maybe Sony make their cameras to suit Sony telly`s ?
