I have a 95 buick le sabre in great condition last week I pushed a little hard and the next time I stared It up I heard it start knocking not hard just when I rev it up a bit.. well anyway I know I can do the job just need to know if I got my procedure down 1st drain oil, Drop the pan ,Remove the pick up ,Shake the connecting rods to see witch one it might be (but if were talking .010) I probably wont be able to tell so use a plastigage remove cap one at a time remember or white out the rod to the stud to reassemble the same way place the wax strip in after cleaning and torque to spec. Remove cap use gage and if it says 2 that means .020 .NOT THAT IT IS. Because that's a lot. Anyway So when I buy new bearings I measure the old bearing then add .020 for my total or is there an oil clearance ..Im asking because they sell standard witch is .000 Im guessing that's what you want to end up with?
