I have this model: TC-P50VT25 of HD 3D TV, and I want to connect audio from the TV to an older Sony 5-disc changer that only has AV components for input.
The only output I can find for the TV is a digital audio output, which I don't have as an input for the receiver. I'm assuming I need a converter for digital to AV jacks... which seems to me like I'll be losing sound quality. So assuming I don't buy a new receiver with HDMI posts and route everything through it, am I better off buying the converter and getting surround sound or just sticking with the Sony TV's internal speakers?
