I have an LG 42LB9D full HD TV and also a panasonic SCPT850W home theatre. I also have an older Samsung VCR recorder/ player and DVD player Model DV 70 with the folllowing connections-CONNECTIONS:
COMPOSITE VIDEO OUTPUT - Yes
S-VIDEO OUTPUT - Yes
DIGITAL AUDIO OUTPUTS - Optical
The TV has 3 HDMI connections and the home theatre has 1 HDMI connection. Home theatre and TV also has all the other "bells and whistle" connections. I am tring to work out the best way of connecting it all up for optimum results. Some problems that occur. When the VCR DVD is on ( AV1) thru TV the ABC digital signal drops out completely. Also when running TV through the VCR because the digital signal is not good, the volume is heaps louder than running through the home theatre ( connected to TV via HDMI cable). The Digital TV pixilates on a few chanmnels also, but never drops out completely. Would this be signal or my cabling or aerial? I hope someone can help.
