Hi;I've just bought a Polaroid LCD TV.It's got one Scart connection and a HDMI connection. The aerial is connected to the set top box, with a Scart connection from the set top box to the VCR.
The VCR has two Scart connections, one in from the set top box,one out to the TV,an aerial loop also runs from the VCR to the TV.
The Tv offers six input choices, videos play back
when Scart is selected, but recording them seems impossible.
The VCR menu shows on the TV screen, allowing timed recordings to be entered,
playback results in a message "No signal",or a "Can of worms" as though something needs tuning?
Any helpful suggestions,please?
Thank you.

You only need 1 aerial connection & this should be to the aerial in on the set top box. Take a scart from the set top box to the Vcr, from the other vcr scart socket take a scart lead to the scart socket on your telly. Now switch on the set top box and the telly should automatically detect the signal & display it. you can now switch on the vcr & whatever is on the set top box can be recorded if you don't want to watch during recording then just switch off the telly & leave the box & Vcr on., PS on some early vcrs one of the 2 scarts is INPUT only whereas the other one is IN/OUT so if u don't get anything through just swop the 2 scarts over on the vcr.
