I was given a Magnavox Blu Ray disc player & have a Sony HD-Ready 34" widescreen CRT TV. The TV has a DVI input, so I bought a HDMI to DVI cable. I hooked it up and cannot get a picture or sound. On my TV remote, the TV/Video button switches between HD, Cable Box, Game, DVD & so on. I tried all of those and still could not get a picture. I had the player playing a disc, so that works, but I cannot figure out why I cannot get a picture. According to the blu ray manual, all I needed was the HDMI cable (or HDMI-DVI cable in this case). Because of the TV, do I still need RCA cables? What am I missing here?
