Connect laptop to DLP TV?

I have a Toshiba Qosmio F45-AV411 with Vista Ultimate and I am trying to connect it to a Mitsubishi WD-60735 Projection TV (WD60735). This model does not have the VGA connection, but there is a cable that 'supposedly' connects either way. This cable is from the laptop VGA connection to a composite (Red, Blue, and Green) connection. When I attach the cable to accordingly, the TV automatically recognizes the connection, but does not display. I've tried all display options that I know of through the laptop, but still cannot seem to get it to display. Please help. Thanks
