Connect a Verizon Actiontec GT704WGB to a third-party router?

I currently have Verizon Dsl and have a Verizon Actiontec Gateway its a actiontec GT704WGB router. The problem is im wanting to get a Belkin n+ router from Costco and connect it to my actiontec modem/router combo. I want to connect a different router to it because the signal get's cut off in my backyard. Is it possible? Thanks! :) Best Answer 10 pnts.!
