Hello everyone,
I'm a new user here, figured I'd give it a shot.
I'm a 25 year old male. I'm not in the best shape (currently about 20-25 pounds overweight, but definitely not obese). About a month ago, I noticed that my lower back (around my kidneys) would start to hurt. It would come and go, but it was rather frequent. It was a burning sensation. This was accompanied at times by cloudy urine. I waited about a week or so and then went to a doctor. The doctor performed a urinalysis and said that there were no problems detected. He pressed down on my spine and when he did that, my spine hurt pretty bad. I figured it was just back pain, and because my urinalysis came back ok, he concluded it wasn't anything to really worry about. He said if the pain returned I should go get blood work done.
Well, about a week or so ago, the pain started coming back, and this time it was more frequent and prolonged. Additionally, I began to feel the same type of pain in my upper right abdomen, and eventually, in my upper left abdomen as well. Also, when I put pressure on my upper left and right ribs and on my ribs around the kidney area, it is very sore to the touch and hurts pretty badly. In fact, all I have to do is basically pinch the skin around the ribs and it hurts.
I don't have the "best" bowels in the world (I'm not sure if best is the right word, haha). I have to eat a lot of fiber to have normal bowel movements, more than most other people. However, I'm not sure if this has anything to do with what is going on.
I plan on going to the clinic tomorrow to see if I can get some blood work done. Does anyone have any ideas on what this could be? I'm obviously hoping that it's not something too serious, but if it is I guess I'll just take it as it comes. Do you think I have anything to worry about? Or do you think this is just some inflammatory issue? I'm mostly concerned because the pain has spread now from my kidney area to the area surrounding my liver and gall bladder.
I'm sorry that's so long, I just didn't want to be vague. Thanks in advance to any and all responses.
