confused...Zac Efron dating history?

So correct me if i'm wrong
zac first dated Ashley, it didn't work out, so he dated vanessa
for how many years?
and then he became with nikki
is he and nikki just really good friends or a couple?
and is he still dating vanessa?
 
I don't think Zac and Ashley were ever an 'official' couple. Really ever since HSM1 (3-4 years ago), Vanessa and Zac have been going out.
Zanessa is still going strong, so Zac and Nikki must just be friends.
