Confused by all my choices

Okay, here's the situation: I bought my first cell phone ever two years ago, it's not a smartphone. My contract is almost up and I am wanting to buy my first Android phone! There are, of course, about eleventy billion of them with a few billion more on the way. I think I'm taking so many things into account that I'm confusing myself. Here's what I would like:

I'd like it to have Android 3.3, Gingerbread, or soon upgradable to it.
I'd like a 3.5"-4" screen. I'm a bit worried that 4.3 will be too big, but I have some wiggle room.
I'd like it to be root-friendly, so I can overclock it or something if I'd like.
I'd prefer it to have a great display, such as super AMOLED.
I'd like good battery life, so it lasts at *least* a day before having to charge.
I'm torn on whether I need it to be dual-core or not.
I'd like it to have Gorilla Glass, but it's not a deal-breaker.

So far I've got it narrowed down to the
Samsung Galaxy S2. Problem is it won't be out until after July sometime
Google Nexus S
HTC Sensation
HTC Desire S
Motorola Photon 4G
Xperia Arc
Samsung Galaxy S
Motorola Atrix

I'm wanting to get my phone either this month or July at the latest. Any thoughts on how I could make my decision easier?

The phone you get depends on the network you are going to be one. I just purchased the HTC Sensation on the 8th and it is an awesome phone. My personal opinion is that HTC makes some of the best phones and they are going to have an update to unlock the bootloader so rooting is in the future. Had a G2X which isn't on your list and it was the worst phone I have ever had.

It's wild that you said that, because I just found out that the Sensation is being released on the 15th here, and I am going to pick that up myself! It meets all the criteria except being rootable, which hopefully HTC will change since they said all future phones will be. Thanks!
