Confused between the book and movie of: The Lovely Bones. Can someone clarify my

OK, I read the book first thought it was pretty dumb that Susie does all this stupid stuff in the end with her man, per say while she inhabits that chicks body, but she has no sense to hurry help to tell him where her body is. Anyways the point is I watched the movie next to see if it would be better and wasn't. But whats getting me confused is this.....In the book, I don't recall or remember the author/book mentioning where the killer put her body exactly. And in the movie he puts her in the safe and throws her in the sinkhole in the end. Is that where he puts her in the book too or somewhere else? I'm confused if I didn't understand the book or if it wasn't in there. Because I was pretty sure I understood the whole book and didn't skip to any parts either.
