I have an HP m7334n running XP. It is connected directly to wall cable jack and I get all the basic cable channels fine. I just got a new HP s3750t running Vista Home Premium. It is connected via HDMI cable to my new Panasonic 42" plasma tv. I presumed connecting it directly to the wall cable jack I would get the same channel setup as my other computer. I was wrong. I get all the local channels and their various digital formats for a total of approx 38 channels. What i don't get is ESPN, History, Discover, etc. etc. all the other basic cable channels. I have tried numerous setups with pretty much the same result. If i go analog all the way, i get all the channels but they are fuzzy. when i connect coax directly to tv, i get all the channels. I know they are there, I just can't get VMC to work with me. What am i missing? what box where did i forget to check? please help .... losing vast amount of hair....
I spent an hour and half on the phone with HP, they were no help and finally said call comcast. Comcast said they would send a tech out for $30 to look at?
