Conclusion for United States + adaption to climate change !?

I need a conclusion ! For Model UN
Im United States and im writing about how the US adapts to climate change and the sea level rising !

I will give you a statement that will save your pathetic butt from delving into something that you were totally clueless about:
"The US has been prudent in its response for action concerning the Global Warming issue. We have stressed the need for energy independence and environmental stewardship, such as industrial emissions of particulate matter, through stringent regulation by the EPA. We now have a clear determination that CO2 is indeed a pollutant and are working diligently to foster a greater understanding of the precise role of CO2 and its impact on the future of human kind. Our government is an ardent supporter of Research and Development initiatives, working in concert with the IPCC. WE are satisfied that Global Warming is a serious threat to all of human kind and are prepared to take swift and decisive action on the clear recommendations that will be forthcoming from the IPCC and the scientific community as a whole! Although the debate will continue and the need for adaptation to ever changing circumstances surrounding the ongoing research is critical, we will proceed with action.
Proposals for a Cap and Trade Proposal which will stimulate research into alternative energy (fill in the BS form), provide new green jobs, reduce CO2 emissions and unleash the entrepreneurial spirit of America, must be passed by the Senate and Congress with all due speed!"

In action however, there will be a call for a watered down cap and trade system that effectively accomplishes nothing and satisfies the avarice of the political machinery. It will be just enough money to keep political backers of these political clowns in line for the next election. This is actually a good thing because the whole concept of cap and trade or carbon tax is a disaster. Luckily what the political hacks giveth, the political hacks can taketh away!

In short the US has done nothing and will do nothing effective any time in your lifetime. If they actually implement these measures “effectively" the US economy will be so hooped that there will no longer be a US to worry about.
 
I thought I've seen your question 2 or 3 times before. Here is your conclusion:

Year 2222 (or not too far future, up to you to decide)! US (and all other countries on earth) bankrupted them self to the ground, people dying from hunger, illnesses, cold, etc. Government doesn't have power to help its citizens with protection, food, health, education, etc. anymore. Basically there is almost stone age and total anarchy around.
Climate still didn't change, no matter what humanity did, trying to stabilize it to warming or cooling. It still has same its own pattern based on Sun activity and distance of the planet Earth from the Sun.
Humanity fills frustrated and defeated. They now fill so miserable, kind of like ants, who try to push the mountain.
