I have hypothyroid and undiffentiated connective tissue disease and had the flu at the end of July. After the flu, I had a flare of the connective tissue disease with widespread joint pain, saw my rheumy, started steroids (now off) and changed my antiinflammatory med. Since then I have been having lightheadedness, increased heartrate to 130's, palpitations, extreme fatigue, joint and muscle pains, and dull left sided chest pain for about 2 weeks. The lightheadedness has been going on for months but has gotten worse, to the point where I feel as though I am going to pass out sometimes. Went to my PCP, he drew MANY labs, did EKG, and CXR, which he said were all normal. I am an RN in an ICU. I usually just ignore myself, but I know something is not right. I have swollen lymph nodes in my neck (submandibular, cervical, and one left supraclavicular; bilateral pea sized axillary, and small one in right groin). The supraclavicular node feels hard almost like muscle or rock, nonmovable, elongated (not round), but there is definately nothing like it on the other side, and does not hurt at all. Could this all be caused from the flu, or should I be worried about something else? If so, then what, and why would all my labs and testing be normal, and what other tests should I insist on?
