concerned about SEVERE short lasting pain I had about a week ago

I have just gotten over being really sick for about 6 weeks with a bad sinus infection. While being sick, I didn't have much of an appetite, therefor lost quite a bit of weight. Also, and not sure if this is related to losing weight and eating very little, but I've had some pain underneath my ribs on both my sides--hard to describe, but it feels worse when I put pressure on it. It was not really that bad, but the other week, me and my boyfriend were wrestleing around like we do a lot. He kneed me in that exact area of my rib cage, not even very hard, but I emmediatly felt horrible, horrible pain, fell to my knees and could barely breath because of the pain. I was crying hard because of it too, but after about 30 seconds, the pain went away and I felt normal again. My boyfriend was freaked out and said he was getting ready to call 911.

I am sort of worried about this incident, though my sides are feeling much better. wondering if anyone knows what this could have been and should I still get checked out by a doctor?

were you being treated with a particular anti B during this time or several different ones at all? when you say you were "sick' for the six weeks, exactly what was going on during that time, was it "just' the sinus stuff or other things too?

honestly, espescially if you are still feeling that more hypersensitive upper abdominal feeling, you should probably see your doc who can actually do a hands on full exam, including palpating that whole abdomen and order some liver tests or other tests too? its just some anti Bs can have a tendency to be kind of hard on your liver. it is one of those better safe than sorry types of situations. just considering the rather lengthy illness and the severity of that pain, it should just be totally checked out for a possible underlying reason. it could also be nothing of huge concern here too, but you wont know that until you just see your doc and get this all checked out, ya know? just make an appt with your primary and explain what occured. good luck with this, just get this evaluated so you know. please keep me posted,FB
