I installed a new wireless card in my laptop and whenever I boot up, the wifi light or switch will light up on the computer, but after the Bios is booted up and is on the boot manager for an os, the light turns off. windows (xp or 7) can't find the card. I don't get any wizard that says new hardware detected, nor any devices that may be unknown and such on the device manager.
I install many drivers but none work. It seems as if my laptop is blocking the card or something.
Any ways here are some specs:
Laptop: Toshiba A205-S5804
Old Wireless card: Realtek 81787B
New Wireless Card: Broadcom 4311
Please help!!! I currently have to run on ethernet to get online. Is there anything I can do???
