OK. After bawling last night for several hours and beating myself up over my stupidity of procrastinating I am putting this question out there for someone who may have a solution. Here is what happened. I have a HP Pavillion Entertainment Notebook dv6500. It is 2.5 years old. I have never been able to back it up on the partitioned part of it's hard drive due to some sort of error or onto my brand new 500GBB MYBook external hard drive which came to me corrupted out of the package. So yesterday I bought CD's to load all of my pictures onto them today and the computer crashed at 9p last night. There are 6,000 pictures on it. I was using it, it was working well. Then the blue screen came on and it said it was shutting down to minimize damage to the hard drive. It shut down and came back on asking me to do a system recovery. I followed the directions and it froze while trying to do the recovery. I called HP tech support. They had me do a hard disk test the quick and comprehensive ran and both said "passed". They tried to do different things until finally the computer wouldn't even go to the recovery options screem anymore. I ended up with a black screen that says ERR2ERR3 Operating System Not Found. They had me try to push F11 again and it now just goes to a black screen that asks me to insert my Windows Disk and push repair.

Here is my plea. There has to be some super computer genius somewhere that can help me. I have photos that can never be replaced of me and my family and people we will never have back again. I know I should have backed it up but PLEASE I am looking for solutions now, if there are any left. Some one said that even if the hard drive crashes I may still be able to retrieve data off of it..I have hope, please help. Thank you.
