I'm a freshman in college about to enter my computer courses. I'm more of a laptop kind of person so for right now I'm honestly not interested in a desktop especially while being in school. For the CG Movie Programming/Rendering I thought about getting a mac. First of all I'd like to say that price for me isn't an issue. Also, I'd like to ask people to please give me factual answers. Please don't bash my choice just because you hate macs. I'm both a pc user and a mac user. I have experience in both so don't associate me with the stupid mac fad. I personally find macs to be a lot better when it comes to any type of graphical work. Here's the laptop and the specs that I'm looking at:

Mac Book Pro 17"

Configuration

* 2.66GHz Intel Core i7
* 8GB 1066MHz DDR3 SD RAM - 2X4GB
* 512GB Solid State Drive
* Super Drive 8x (DVD±R DL/DVD±RW/CD-RW)
* GPU: Integrated Intel graphics card w/ a discrete NVIDIA GeForce GT 330M w/ 512mb of dedicated memory

* Mac Book Pro 17-inch Hi-Resolution Glossy Wide screen Display (1920x1200 res)
* Back lit Keyboard (English) & User's Guide
* Accessory kit

As far as the screen goes I'm not sure if I should go with the glossy display or the anti-glare. Advice on this would be nice as well. As for the ports I'm pretty sure most of you know which ports the 17" has: Express card slot, fire wire, 3 usb, etc. Thank you everyone for your time and again, please give me the facts and not angry biased reviews.
