complications after surgery

on the 12th of july i had an laparoscopic appendectomy. i was let out on the wednesday 15th of july. i had alot of swelling and heat coming from my stomach over the next few days. on the following sunday the 19th i noticed redness around one of the wounds. on monday the 20th i went to the doc where he pointed out the other wound was highly infected.
after returning home the wound ruptured and alot of blood/pus came out of it.

i was back in hsp 2 days later for another procedure of incision an drainage.

i was let out 4 days later. i had to call to the local nurse for my dressing changed today the 27th july. they had to unpack the wound and re pack it..
however when this was done in the hsp i went into shock and needed morphine for the pain. so the nurse was unable to one of the wounds due to the agony. she said that it should have cleared up some bit by now so i am back to hsp tomorrow.

all my bloods are normal except the raised white blood cells and i have not got mrsa. also when i got the drip when admitted on the 11th july it was taken out on the 15th and it was red and the centre was green. i informed the nurse and he told me it was fine but 2 weeks later and it has not healed and is still red..
i have alot of naseau and dizziness.

any ideas what it could be??
 
I don't know - but I had a lappy appendectomy on 7/17/09 - 3 different "holes" - I still have some soreness but am doing ok. I hope you find out what's going on with you!
 
thanks a million, from taking to a few nurses i think where they put the drip got infected as before i was discharged it fell out and it was green on the inside and red around it. it is still not healed now and a few nurses they said it was septic. i told the nurse in the hsp and he totally ignored me. so this could be where and how i picked up the infection.
