I can't believe I'm studying advanced maths with millions of proofing involved and can't solve this simple expression.
Now what I want to do is convert this : -1+i sqrt(3) to polar
Apparently the solution is 2cis(2pi/3)
I got 2cis(-pi/3)
Somehow i cant get this 2pi/3. What I did is
argz = tan-1(b/a) = tan-1( - sqrt(3) / 1) ==> -pi/3
What did I do wrong? Thank you a lot for replying
