Completely lost: SP2/Gnutella!?

I potentially have a messy problem. My comp has a wireless connection to the network router, none of the other computers do. So i guess that i need to not only bypass the firewall for the router but also the firewall to SP2? I have tried opening up port 6346 (both TCP and UDP) but for some reason this is not working. I have to be missing some steps here, I just want to get it so that i can use limewire through SP2, which is what i believe is causing this whole mess, but i dont know what else to do or where i can get a good patch that will fix it for me. Anyone, suggestions.....maybe some compassion would be nice. Thanks.
 
since installing sp2, limewire no longer works. i have turned off firewall and have opened ports etc. etc. what next? is it possible to uninstall service pac 2?

Some people have uninstalled SP2 to solve their problems. Do a search for 'SP2' on the forum. Use the search button 2nd from the right at the top of page. There's been a no. of suggestions made that work for some people but not all suggestions work for everybody.
