What settings are you using for the eq? I have been having problems getting mine setup right but I am kinda anal about sound. If I get it to sound good at lower volumes it distorts at high volumes and vice versa.
 
has anyone tryed the arc audio MPAKs ? i have installed quite a few of them and they rock! the mini amp that they build is killer! i was installing them out at sturgis this year and we uninstalled a few hog tunes and j and m setups and replaced them with the arc mini and arc speakers or focal speakers. the biggest gain you will see on a bike is by adding a amp to it. even with stock speakers it is way cleaner and louder. for a little mor money slap a set of 5.25s in there. any name brand will work. and for a litttle more you can upgrade to 6.5s and adaptors to fit and that makes a big difference alot more bass. i would go with a brand like arc or focal alpine kenwood jl mb quart over the hogtunes or jm speekers any day cause they are a better built and sounding speeker!
the arc mpak includes a mini 125x2 amp a harley specific wire harness (designed by medesto harley davidson) and a set of 5.25 2 way coax speakers all for 400 bucks and it comes with detailed instructions.
the mpak 2 has a set of 5.25 componants with seperate tweeters that mount in the ferring or in the temp guage and clock spot i believe thoes are the 2 places.
they also have a 3 kit for the bikes with 4 speekers and it is the same as above but with a set for the rear also.
just thought id fill you guys in on what i know on the subject beings that i have done prob atleast 50 bike installs and thoes are all i do any more when people ask what to do on thier bikes

I just fiished up my new upgrade. I went with titan 6.5 xls front speakers qith the hogtunes tweeter pod and the hogtunes amp. I have heard alot of setups and this is by far the best sounding and loudest but yet clearest sounding setup I have yet to hear. I actually did this setup based off a local rider. There is not alot of bass in this setup of course but it is crystal clear and very very loud if need be without distoration. I can hear this crystal clear at 75 turned up just less than half way. It is awesome.......

I was wondering if you or anyone can tell me which wire on a 2008 FLHTP is always hot? I recently installed the Biketronics kit in my bike but whenever I turn the bike off I lose all the settings in my radio.

I have a Clarion radio and I ordered the hawg wired wiring kit but it on back order going on 2 months and unknown when they will have it. I’m trying to avoid cutting the wires so I was going to get the biketronics kit and splice the wires. My question is do you think this will work. I just want the power I’m going to use an amp for my speakers. And I have the remote control jack in the back of the radio but I also have a Pac control from my car that I have never used. So what do you think?
