Hi, i have been left disabled while in hospital with another illness, the intra-muscular injections i got for pain were given into my arms and after 10 months in hospital my bicep contracted and now my arms are in a V shape and i have had to give up my job as a Staff Nurse, lost my home and am now registered disabled. During my stay in hospital my deforming arms were plain for everyone to see but were untreated, i was never even referred to a physio for treatment and now they require surgery to try to straighten them.
Does anyone know of any lawyer in the Lanarkshire area who can help or is successful in this field of law?
I have waited 3 years for treatment and have had 3 tests done by my 'so-called' surgeon in these 3 years. My appointments in this time are not given and i am told to call his secretary if i don't hear anything in a month or two, the longest wait being 8 months as i had 'fallen through the cracks of the nhs'
I contacted my local MP and told them of my situation and also my thoughts about a compensation claim, 2.08pm i got an email from an assistant at The Houses of Parliament London, 2.28pm i got a phone call from an assistant at the Scottish Parliament and the next morning i got a letter from my MP with a consent form to arrange corrective surgery!!! Something tells me i have a case to sue?
